Terms of Service.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of migol.io and the MIGOL app (the "Service"), operated by Ferðavefir ehf. (kennitala 700910-0750, VAT no. 106233), Sigtún 29, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use MIGOL, and at least 18 to use Networking. We ask for your birthday to check this.
• Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information and keep your email address up to date.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use MIGOL to harass, threaten or impersonate others; post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or infringing content; send spam; or try to access other users' data, disrupt the Service or reverse-engineer it. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

You can report a profile, post, comment or message with its Report option, and block a member from their profile or posts. The person you report is not told who reported them, and a report does not hide anything for other members by itself. You can hide a post for yourself.

4. Your content

You own the content you create in MIGOL. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only so we can run the Service, for example showing your posts to your followers. Private content such as journal entries is not shown to other users.

5. Gamification

XP, ranks, achievements, badges, daily spin rewards and other in-app items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and may be adjusted as we balance the game.

6. Subscriptions and payments

MIGOL Pro is free until 1 January 2027 (00:00 Atlantic/Reykjavik). Until then every account has Pro, including Networking and unlimited habits, and no card is required. Subscriptions open on that date. After it, Networking and unlimited habits require a paid subscription. The free plan then includes the rest of MIGOL, with a limit of 10 active habits. Prices are shown on our pricing page and again before you buy. Displayed prices are in euros and include VAT. PRO includes a 7-day free trial once checkout is open. Join before 1 January 2027 to lock the founding price and badge: €45 for the first year whenever you subscribe, then €90 a year, and a permanent Founding Member badge. The regular yearly price is €90. Monthly is €9.99. You are not asked to pay before subscriptions open.

Subscriptions are coming 1 January 2027. There is no checkout today, and MIGOL does not send a payment receipt before then. When subscriptions open, our order process will be conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com will be the Merchant of Record for orders. Paddle will provide customer service for those orders and handle returns. When you buy, you will also accept Paddle's buyer terms, shown at checkout.

Once a subscription exists, it renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You will be able to cancel from Subscription in the app, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling during the trial means you are not charged. Refunds are covered in our refund policy. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you keep your statutory rights, including the 14-day right to withdraw. Accounts created before 1 January 2027 keep the Founding Member badge.

7. Not professional advice

MIGOL is a self-improvement tool. Content in the app or blog, including diet or health topics, is general information and not medical, financial or professional advice.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep MIGOL reliable but provide it "as is", without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We may change, add or remove features. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using MIGOL at any time and delete your account yourself in the app: go to Settings, Danger zone, Delete account. Your account will be deleted in 30 days. Sign in before then to restore it. During those 30 days it is hidden from other members; after them your account and its data are permanently erased. If you can't sign in, email support@migol.io and we will delete it for you. We may suspend or end accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country. We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes. Questions: support@migol.io or +354 775 6363 (Ferðavefir ehf.).
